Zoom unveils the LiveTrak L12next Digital Mixer & Recorder

Zoom is pleased to announce the LiveTrak L12next 12-channel digital mixer / 14-track multitrack recorder. The L12next combines the power of a digital mixer with analog-style operation. With its new OLED screen, upgraded ultra low noise preamps, three multifunction encoder knobs per channel for easy access to gain, compression, lowcut, High/Mid/Low EQ, pan, sends, and a talkback mic, the L12next puts you in total control.

The L12next stores up to 10 scene memories and the new Fader Position button lets you quickly view saved fader positions when recalling scenes. With five independent Monitor Outs, every musician can have a personal mix whether he/she is using headphones or stage monitors thanks to its switchable outputs.

The L12next also captures up to 14 tracks at 24-bit/96 kHz, plus a stereo mix in 32-bit float, to an internal SD card while the new master compressor adds warm natural compression to the final mix. You can also use it as a 14-in/4-out USB audio interface simultaneously. With wireless control via the L12next control app, DAW controller functionality, overdub mode, and auto punch in/out, the L12next is perfect for creators, performers, and engineers who need flexibility and precision on stage, in the studio, or in the rehearsal room.

Zoom unveils the Instamic Pro Plus C 32-Bit Float Recorder/Microphone

Zoom is pleased to introduce the Instamic Pro Plus C, the world's smallest professional waterproof 32-bit float recorder. The Instamic Pro Plus C is available in mono or stereo versions and features a highly efficient omnidirectional MEMS microphone with 4 elements (mono) or 6 elements (stereo), which captures immersive sound across the entire frequency spectrum from 40 Hz to 20 KHz with up to 135dB SPL. 

Instamic can withstand rain, splashes, snow, and even complete immersion up to 1 meter deep for 30 minutes. Thanks to its IP67 protection rating, water, dirt, and dust don't stand a chance. With 16GB of internal memory, a built-in battery with a battery life of 4.5 hours, and the ability to charge via USB-C, the Instamic can withstand even long shoots. 

Instamic's internal timecode enables seamless synchronization of audio and video and also supports wireless timecode from Atomos and Tentacle Sync. In addition, the Instamic Remote app allows you to control the level, live monitoring, and timecode synchronization for up to 10 microphones completely wirelessly via your smartphone. Of course, the Instamic can also be used as a wireless Bluetooth microphone with popular (action) cameras or your computer or smartphone.

Zoom unveils the new H6studio Handy Recorder

Zoom is pleased to announce the H6studio Handy Recorder. Featuring large-diaphragm XY microphones and four studio-grade preamps, the H6studio supports 32-bit float or classic 24-bit recordings with a simple format switch. It also has dedicated gain knobs to avoid additional post production. The H6studio’s F-series preamps deliver ultra-clean audio (-127 dBu EIN). When paired with their dual A/D converters they provide an impressive 132 dB of dynamic range, 

The “advanced look-ahead” limiters also prevent distortion from reaching your track.

Utilising Zoom’s Mic Capsule System 3.0, the H6studio can capture up to eight tracks (six mono tracks plus a stereo mix) at sample rates of up to 192 kHz. It features four locking XLR/TRS inputs and one stereo mini-jack input with plug-in power, as well as an angled, full-colour LCD display for real-time waveform display and level monitoring. The H6studio also functions as a 6-in/2-out USB audio interface for Mac, Windows, iOS and Android devices, supporting 32-bit float and 16/24-bit recording. You can stream live and simultaneously record a backup to microSD.

Like all our new recorders, the H6studio is designed to be accessible to blind and visually impaired users. You can navigate the menu with audible descriptions through the built-in speaker or headphones. With the new ZOOM Handy Control & Sync app for iOS, you can also remotely manage multiple Zoom recorders*, control start/stop and effortlessly synchronise timecode. Current compatible models: H2essential, H5studio and H6studio (BTA-1 or TCA-1 required).
