Blackstar unveils the Dept. 10 Series

Blackstar Amplification from Northampton, England introduce with Dept. 10 a new and advanced tube pedal range. All Dept. 10s use an ECC83 triode tube at their heart, running internally at over 200V to deliver organic tone, dynamics and subtle distortion. The Dept. 10 line-up includes the two-channel Dual Drive and Dual Distortion with Clean and 3x Crunch/OD voices, plus a Boost pedal. The Dual pedals feature Cab Rig™, Blackstar's next-generation DSP-based speaker simulation that reproduces the sound and feel of a professionally miked guitar cabinet in incredible detail. In-depth editing allows the free software to perfect the sounds via USB / XLR output or headphones.
In addition to the classic function as a distortion pedal in front of the amp, the two Dual models can also be used as a valve recording interface via USB audio with low latency and as a space-saving live setup via the XLR out, whereby external effects can also be integrated with the integrated FX loop. Finally, the Dept. 10 Boost is the new high-voltage tube boost pedal. Combining a Class A gain stage with a natural sounding passive James Baxandall EQ, this pedal acts like adding two extra hot tube stages to your amp.

Eventide unveils the TriceraChorus Pedal

Eventide Audio announces the new TriceraChorus pedal, the fourth pedal of the new dot9 series following the release of the Blackhole in 2020 and the MicroPitch and UltraTap earlier this year. TriceraChorus is a Stereo Bucket Brigade-style Tri-Chorus with Psychedelic Swirl : Eventide’s lushest chorus ever!
TriceraChorus features three chorus voices and three unique chorus effects which can be used to create a wide stereo spread with pulsing waves of modulation. A three-phase LFO modulates the delay times for the dot9 TriceraChorus pedal’s three chorus voices – Left, Center, and Right – producing compelling movement across the stereo field. The Chorus effect within TriceraChorus produces a prototypical vintage Chorus sound. The Chorale effect adds increased complexity and movement for a richer and larger texture, while Vibrato delivers a pulsing, warbly sound. Across all the voices and effects, detuning adds depth through subtle pitch shifting. The innovative Swirl footswitch adds psychedelic flanging, phasing and Univibe- style tones.
The pedal can store up to 127 presets in memory, with five presets loaded at a player’s feet for access from a latching/momentary dual-action Active Footswitch with a Catch-up mode to help players dial in their sound when toggling between presets/parameters. A single Aux switch can be deployed to Tap Tempo, or a triple Aux switch can be used for easy preset changing (up/down/load). The TriceraChorus Pedal offers multiple Bypass options: Buffered, Relay, DSP+FX or Kill dry. MIDI capability is available over TRS (for use with a MIDI to TRS cable or converter box) or USB. The rear-panel Guitar/Line Level switch allows level-matching with guitars, synths, FX loops or DAW interfaces. Any combination of TriceraChorus parameters can be mapped to an Expression pedal. The rugged, gig-ready green TriceraChorus pedal is not just for guitars – the pedal brings lush chorusses to any source from vocals to keyboards to drums, strings, brass and winds. The TriceraChorus pedal is shipping October 2021.

Zoom unveils the B6 Multi-Effects Bass Processor

Zoom is delighted to announce the B6 Multi-Effects Bass Processor.

The new Zoom B6 features Zoom's ultimate FX processor technology with amp modeling, unique DI box modeling and 88.2 Khz sampling frequency. The B6 is an integrated pedalboard with 9 footswitches and a 4.3-inch color touchscreen with easy-to-use app-based technology, that lets you drag, drop and swipe your way to new sounds. This allows you to create effects chains with up to six effects + amp emulation, and even load your own impulse responses for speaker simulation. The two inputs with variable impedance lets you connect electric and acoustic basses simultaniously, as they can be seamlessly switched via the integrated A/B switcher for quick instrument changes. Developed in collaboration with renowned bassists, the new DI output offers a choice of two of the most popular tube and two of the most popular transistor DI boxes. 68 internal rhythm patterns, the new looper with up to 2h recording time and the integrated USB audio interface make the B6 the perfect partner for practicing, recording and on stage. The B6 will be shipping in Q4 2021.
