Apogee Announces Duet 3 and Duet Dock
Legendary Sound Quality, Total Portability and Hardware DSP all Come Together in a Beautiful New Design
Apogee is delighted to announce the Duet 3, the long-awaited successor of the legendary Duet audio interface. In 2007, Apogee unveiled the first Duet, practically turning the audio world upside down. The Duet was the first premium audio interface featuring a revolutionary desktop design, intuitive user interface and superior sound quality.
No wonder that its design and UI concept has since been imitated by many and became the de facto industry standard. Still, the legendary Apogee sound quality remained unmatched.
Duet 3 is the next evolutionary step and shines with a beautiful glossy, extremely flat and elegant housing made of glass and aluminum, which perfectly matches the product philosophy with its modern design language. Equipped with 2 inputs and 4 outputs, as well as 2 USB-C ports and an internal hardware DSP for the Symphony ECS Channel Strip, Duet 3 enables for the first time latency-free recording with effects. The Symphony ECS Channel Strip presets have been tuned by none other than mixing legend Bob Clearmountain, so professional sound is at your fingertips.
The new designed ultra-low noise mic preamps combined with the legendary Apogee AD/DA converters and practical features like the zero-ohm headphone output make the Duet 3 the perfect partner for music creation, vocal and voice recording, streaming and even gaming – in the studio or on the road.
Included is a convenient travel case for transportation. The new elegant and practical Duet Dock ensures perfect ergonomics in the studio and is available as an option.
The Duet 3 and Duet Dock will be available around July 2021.
